A late update after having no signal all weekend, so sorry for the lack of updates and to anyone that reached out and didn’t get a response!
After being ill during the BSB test the week before, and in the run up to this round, I didn’t get as many laps in as I’d liked. But in free practise on Saturday we picked up where we left off and continued to chip away, making some good progress improving my PB by around -0.5 getting down to a low 1:40.

I was looking forward to making another step forward in qualifying and race one, but a last minute decision saw us change to a full wet setup due to the conditions, which appeared to be the right decision until I got on track. Unfortunately the gamble didn’t pay off and it was damage limitation from here on out, as I stuck a dry rear in for the latter part of the session, eventually placing 26th.

I knew the sprint race would be difficult due to being so far back on the grid, I did manage to make up a few positions in the latter part of the race finishing in 22nd place overall or 19th in class.

We tried a couple more changes for warm up on Monday which seemed to go in the right direction as I managed another low 1:40 on scrub tyres from the race, so I was hoping I could make the next step in race two.

After a decent start in race two, a couple of laps in I started trying to push to make up some more positions, but unfortunately by the time I’d got a move on the pack in front were just out of reach and I couldn’t bridge the gap, it was still a good race though placing 15th overall and P13 in class.

I didn’t quite manage the goal I’d set my self for the weekend after the mistake in qualifying, but we’re still improving and will keep chipping away at it. We’ve got Donington park up next in a couple of weeks which I’m really looking forward to!

A huge thanks to everyone that came down to support me, and to my sponsors for making this season possible. A big shout out to the Specialised Group / Valley Racing team for all their help too!
